I can hardly believe it, but Easter is right around the corner. The first part of this year has practically flown by, but I’m glad Spring is here. Before we know it, we’ll have triple digit temps here in Texas, but for now I’m enjoying and embracing the pleasant weather and looking forward to celebrating Easter with my family & friends.
I’ve got to confess that we don’t ever cook a big Easter meal. It’s kind of an oddity, really, considering how much we love to cook. When we lived in Fort Worth our tradition was to go to church, then gather with several other families and eat at one of our favorite Asian restaurants – they’re never busy on Easter, and I’m always up for Kung Pao Chicken!
Years later we’re in a different city and our lives have certainly changed, but we still end up eating out on Easter Sunday. I love the idea of a big Easter meal, though, so I’ve collected ten tasty Easter dishes that are perfect for the upcoming holiday. I’ve included a few breakfast and brunch items in this list, too, because I like the idea of having something a little special to start the day. I might just make my bacon, caramelized onion, and two-cheese quiche along with one of these other great recipes!
I didn’t include any salads in the list since I just shared ten tasty salads with you a couple of weeks ago. If you want something light to start off your Easter dinner you might want to check out that list, though! I made the cucumber salad and it’s so bright and fresh and just plain good.
